Awarded to a secondary school student, or a group of students who has/have shown determination and outstanding achievement in carrying out a practical and innovative science research or technology project.

This award recognises the importance in secondary education for children to explore, problem solve, innovate and experience the joy of hands-on learning.  It is for individuals or groups from Hutt Valley secondary schools who have undertaken a unique project or piece of research. One entry per school will be accepted.
