Awarded to a primary or intermediate school student, or a group of students who have shown determination and outstanding achievement in carrying out a practical and innovative science research or technology project.

This award recognises the importance, in primary or intermediate education, for children to explore, problem solve, innovate and experience the joy of hands-on learning.  It is for individuals or groups from Hutt Valley primary and intermediate schools who have undertaken a unique project or piece of research. One entry per school will be accepted.
